As always, our week was filled with so much fun and learning.
Everyone has been very busy creating fabulous things for their beautiful mommy for Mother’s Day. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, so you will have to wait just a little longer.
We can hardly wait for all of the mommies and hopefully some grandmas to come to our Mother’s Day Tea next Friday, May 6th at 10:45AM. Wait until you see what we have planned – all for you! The children are very excited and so are the teachers!
On Monday our class enjoyed having Amazing Athletes come to our school. They incorporate fine motor and gross motor skills into a wide variety of sports activities.
On Wednesday our class enjoyed their visit to our School Library.
Happy 4th birthday to Priyansh!
Please be reminded that our school will be closed this Friday, April 29th in observance of the 7th day of Passover.
Shabbat Shalom! Have a wonderful weekend.

We were so excited to get back to work with our letters. The children were so unbelievable learning their U’s and the class couldn’t stop laughing during our circle-time games. We met our friend Uni the Unicorn who lives in Utah, rides a Unicycle, loves to swim underwater and loves her uncle. The class even had some creative show- n-tell items. They brought in umbrellas, picture of United States, upside down unicorn book, and unicorns. We also went under an umbrella as well as stood by the map of United States. Our projects also had to do with the letter “U”. We made hot air balloons and the children were asked who they would bring in the balloon. They will be hung up soon. We also worked on our alphabet book which the children love to do.
The children also worked on Mother’s day songs, gifts and cards for our special Mother’s. We told the children to keep this a secret from the special woman in their life. We know you are excited for our tea next week but we want you to be surprised with everything we have to celebrate you.
We also had amazing athletes this week which the children love. They learned different sports like football, basketball, and ran an obstacle course. The children also had a fun time in the library. They went on a treasure hunt just like the book the heard. Thank you to the Parent committee for arranging such a great event.

Monday: Curiosity Club – Mrs. Winter and Mrs. Schemo
The children in our Curiosity Club Class enjoyed listening to the story Rainbow Fish this week. It is a heartwarming story about friendship and sharing.
Everyone created their very own Rainbow Fish, colored the pictures of the fish that were in the story, and received a certificate for learning how wonderful it is to share and be kind to our friends. They also cooperated with each other as they put together a beautiful Rainbow Fish puzzle.
Tuesday: Imagination Station – Mrs. Tilbor and Mrs. Winter
We worked on Kandinsky circle made with paint and toilet paper rolls. The class learned about the artist and saw the actually paining they made.
Wednesday: Passport to Adventure – Mrs. Winter and Mrs. Schemo
Wow! What a fabulous adventure our little travelers had when they visited the dark mysterious continent of Africa! We arrived back to the J.C.C. just in time to pack our pretend suitcase and board the airplane for our next extraordinary journey.
“Ko nee cheewah” or “hello” in Japanese! We are so lucky to be able to travel around the world this year, and we do not want to miss visiting Japan.
Using colorful paper bags and tissue paper streamers, the children created beautiful fish kites to fly outside weather permitting. They learned that the Japanese word for fish is “koi.”
Thursday: Storybook Network-Mrs. Tilbor and Mrs. Shemo
We read Fun Dog, Sun Dog by Deborah Heiligman. The children made their own puppies with sunglasses.
