2’s Weekly Newsletter
Dear Parents,
We’ve been working all week learning our songs for our Passover model Seder. We look forward to singing for you. We’ve also been working on our Passover projects. It took us several days to make our frog puppets and Seder plates. We still aren’t finished, but we’ll be ready for Wednesday!
We read One Frog Sang ,Good Morning Pond , and What I Like About Passover. We watched “Five Green Speckled Frogs” on the Nook.
On Thursday we talked about “touch”. We played with shaving cream on the tables and read The Five Senses, Touch. We will continue to talk about the five senses for the remainder of April.
We celebrated Shabbat with Cantor Rockman and the rest of the JCC school.
We look forward to seeing you Wednesday at 11:15 for our model Seder. Be sure your child has a guest present, if you can’t be with us.
Shabbat Shalom and have a great weekend

3’s Weekly Newsletter
What a busy week this has been as we prepare for the very meaningful and beautiful holiday of Passover!
We have been singing lots of Passover songs and the children are becoming familiar with the 4 Questions.
We are thrilled to say that the children can proudly retell the story of Passover, and how terrible it was when the Jewish people were slaves in Egypt. They have been pretending to build and dig in the broiling hot sun for Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, who refused to let the Jewish slaves leave. Pharaoh had to be punished ten times, and one punishment was frogs in his bed and frogs on his head!
When Moses, a brave Jew begged Pharaoh to let the Jewish people go, and he still refused, Moses got even angrier! Finally he let them go! “Onward to the Red Sea!” cried Moses.
The children love singing “Dayenu”, a thank you song to G-d. Everyone also loves dancing to the “Matzah Boogie”
Each child made a beautiful stained glass Elijah’s cup, and they loved creating adorable green frogs to use when they act out the Passover story for our guests at our class seder on Wednesday morning April 20th at 10:45AM.
They also designed a magnificent flowerpot centerpiece, and their own very beautiful symbolic seder plate and afikomen bag.
This week we introduced the children to the letter “S” as they painted lots of “stars” for this page of their alphabet book and listened to the story Seal’s Silly Sandwich.
We all enjoyed welcoming Shabbat with Cantor Rockman at our Schoolwide Shabbat Party on Friday.
Shabbat Shalom! Have a wonderful weekend!

Pre-K Weekly Newsletter
Spring has sprung in the Pre-K class. When spring arrives, the holiday of Passover is right there too. This week we continued learning in circle-time and reviewing all the letters/numbers we learned. The class was also told about the story of Passover. We recreated the story and sang many songs to perform for you at our family Seder. The children laughed very hard. Yashvi,Rhia and Aditi loved when frogs started jumping all over the classroom and landed on them. We are also making a special book to be given out at our Seder. This book will be a great keepsake for years to come. We worked the children so hard that they incorporated the story of Passover in our class. Ian and Sai Vishnu kept singing “Work Work” one of the songs we will be performing. Anushree said, “I was like Pharoah and she came up to me and said, Mrs. Tilbor, let my people go”. Joaquin loved working on the projects because he kept seeing pictures of him and his family. Our show and tell was all spring related. Nikita and Tanvi were the crafty ladies. Tanvi made a spring flower and Nikita drew a beautiful spring scene.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you next Wednesday at our Family Seder. This will give us the opportunity to show you our wonderful projects and sing our songs for you.

We read the book Buzzzzz Said the Bee” by Wendy Cheyette Lewison. We talked about Spring and the children told me everything that happens during this season. We then created our own spring garden with paper plates.
