During the past 6 months we have continuously had in person services for Friday night, Saturday morning , Sunday morning and Thursday morning . The Cantor and his family have been very instrumental in ensuring we had in person minyan. Monday through Thursday evenings we mostly stream with an occasional in person service. The cantor has worked very hard to enhance services and made sure everything ran smoothly. Currently, masks need to be worn during in person services, at meetings, and while in the office. Food can be serviced and mask can be removed while eating.
We have had a successful Purim evening program March 16 with dinner, standup comedy by Norm Politziner and a Megillah reading. We also had a very successful Passover Second Seder, led by Howard Waksman, on April 16. On Shavout, June 5, we had large turnout for the Scream (Ice Cream) truck sponsored by the Schwartz family.
Looking to the Future:
We are looking to return to in person daily minyans. We are staring by adding an in person Monday evening service in July and hoping to expand to other days of the week. In person daily minyans will be streamed but on zoom.
I am planning on having a similar High Holiday service as last year with a choice of person service, streaming or zooming, and an outdoor family service. I am hoping to put back many of the English readings that were removed last year to shorten the service because of COVID. I also plan in offering free baby sitting and Torah for tots programs.
Hopefully, we will be able to have many of the programs were we severed food, Hunan in the Hut, a Second Seder and monthly Shabbot lunch and learn programs.
