Dear Friends,
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the CBT Task Force has met continuously to ensure that we are doing everything we can to keep our congregants, staff and clergy as safe and as healthy as possible. To that end, the Task Force has made numerous difficult decisions and continues to face challenges, as we are still navigating unprecedented times.
While the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine offers a glimmer of hope that our lives will be able to return to normal at some point, we are still experiencing a record number of positive cases in our area, and therefore we must remain vigilant. We once again request your understanding and cooperation as we implement the following protocols with respect to limiting access to our building effective immediately and until further notice. Please note that these policies are being implemented by the Task Force with the guidance of medical professionals.
- Pickup and dropoff of items at CBT (i.e. scrip, correspondence, food, Gift Shop items) will be done at curbside and the front door only. Please contact the office to arrange a time for pickup and/or dropoff and then call the office when you arrive at CBT. Someone will meet you at your car or the front door of the building. Masks must be worn at all times. If you are unable to come during business hours, we will work with you to arrange for a convenient time for you to pick up/dropoff items.
- If you need to enter the building for any reason, you must contact our Administrator, Lesley Lewkowicz, first to advise of your reason for entering the building, at which time you will be provided with instructions for doing so. You will also be asked a series of questions pertaining to COVID-19 symptoms and exposure. If your responses are acceptable, then upon your arrival at the building, you will have your temperature taken. So long as your temperature is 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit or below, you will be permitted to enter the building.
- If you have been given permission to enter the building as above, please make sure that you keep your time in the building to the minimum needed to accomplish the task that you are there for. Please only go to the parts of the building that are necessary for the purpose you are there and avoid schmoozing and conversations with others who are in the building while you are there.
Our goal at CBT continues to be to encourage a strong sense of community through our religious and social gatherings. While these gatherings remain vital, they must take place virtually until this pandemic is behind us and we can once again gather in the way we’ve always been accustomed. We all anxiously await the day when we can once again gather in-person without limitations and restrictions.
We cannot thank the members of our Task Force enough for their dedication to our CBT family and for working tirelessly to keep us all safe. Further, we thank you, our members, for your continued support and patience.
