Via Android or IOS (iPhone, iPad)

There are many good apps for viewing and/or recording from our internet cameras. Most of the free apps have annoyances that prevent you from listening or viewing the entire screen unless you purchase the full version.

Depending on the app, you’ll need some, if not all, of the following settings:

  • ip address: bnaitikvah.dlinkddns.com
  • user: *note
  • password: *note
  • stream type: substream (recommended), main stream (higher resolution)

Via Windows PC

The webcams are best supported in Windows with the Mozilla Firefox browser. Two plug-ins are required to make it work for the first time. One is provided as a link on the sign-in screen. If you don’t see the video, it’s because you ignored the link to install the plug-in. The second is the VLC Audio plug-in, which you can download and install from VideoLan.org. When logging into the Beit Midrash camera (85), select “ActiveX Mode” for Internet Explorer or “server Push Mode” for Firefox. The Chrome browser is unsupported at this time.

Via Apple Mac

The webcams are supported only in the Safari browser. When prompted, go to system preferences… security… and install the required plug-in. You must completely close and reopen Safari to accept the plug-in. Subsequent uses of the website will operate automatically.

Windows and Mac Browser Controls

There are 6 buttons at the bottom of the screen (left to right):

  • Open Video
  • Close video
  • Open Talk (leave this closed)
  • Open Audio (must be selected to hear audio).
  • Take Snapshot – Opens a still image in a new tab. Right Mouse the image and select “Save Image As…”, select (or note) which folder is open, give it a file name where indicated, and click “Save”. (Works in Firefox only.)
  • Full Screen
