Our Year So Far
July 31 – Outdoor Movie Night
Sept 9 – 1st Shabbat Dinner in the Series (Welcome Back/Honoring New Members)
Sept 11 – Membership Appreciation Day & Open House (over 200 attendees!)
Oct 2 – PJ Library Fall Holidays Round Robin – canceled due to inclement weather 🙁
Oct 9 – JFCS 2nd Annual Wheels for Meals on Wheels Bike Ride organized by Bobbi Binder and Marty Abschutz
Oct 14 – 2nd Shabbat Dinner in the Series (Hunan in the Hut)
Oct 23 – Winery Trip to Hopewell Valley Vineyards
Oct 28 – Makom Shabbat Oneg, Speaker & Wine Tasting organized by Barbra London
Oct 30 – Hike through Cheesequake State Park lead by Craig Cohen
Nov 18 – 3rd Shabbat Dinner in the Series (Fall theme)
Nov 20 – Hike through Rutgers Ecological Preserve lead by Craig Cohen
Dec 9 – 4th Shabbat Dinner in the Series (Celebrating Chanukah)
As well as a number of online programs offered by WAM through our relationship with the consortium of synagogues!
The Shabbat Dinner series has been an absolute hit! We have recorded 50+ members as attendees to each dinner and the offering seems to appeal to all age groups. We’ve included Tot Shabbat where possible which has brought the synagogue to life with lots of little ones in attendance. We plan to have 8 dinners in the series for the 2022-23 year and to continue to offer a delicious themed meal for all members to join together and enjoy on a (nearly) monthly basis in 2023-24 as well!

Membership
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our Membership duo, a wildly successful Membership Appreciation Day & Open House and an excellent suggestion of a new policy for High Holiday guest tickets, we’ve seen great strides in our quest to increase membership. We have added 11 new member families to our CBT family, and have a number of young families who have expressed interest in the past several months who have joined us for Shabbat dinners and other events.
WAM continues to engage our existing members with the above mentioned activities and more to be added as the year goes on. We encourage each of you to reach out should you have any program ideas and/or would like to volunteer to help with the planning and execution of programs.
