Every morning at rising, before he spoke a word to G-d or to men, it was Rabbi Zusya’s custom to call out: “Good morning to all of Israel!”
During the day, he wrote everything he did down on a slip of paper. Before going to bed at night, he fetched it, read it, and wept until the writing was blurred with his tears.
