The Social Action Committee identifies areas of need within the synagogue and
surrounding communities acquiring the resources to address their needs.

Some of the programs we have sponsored included:
  • Passover Food Drive
  • Hunger Awareness Day
  • Birthday Parties for homeless children through the Homefront organization.
  • helping needy families for the winter holidays, and clothing drives.
  • Disaster relief for people who were burned out of their apartments in Edison.
  • Helped the Red Cross in providing emergency housing and food for a family whose home burned down.

The committee also assists various agencies, such as Jewish Family Services, Amandla Crossing, and Elijah's Promise food pantry.
