Carol Winter has been a B'nai Tikvah JCC Nursery School teacher since 1985 and has taught in our Religious School since 1990. She is passionate about sharing her love of Judaism with her students of all ages. She was the Teen Travel Director at Lake-Vu Day Camp for eight years. In the summer of 2006, Carol returned to Camp Gan Israel of Central New Jersey to supervise its Girls Travel Camp program. Carol, along with her husband, Mark, was involved in the supervision of Summer Youth programming in several major Catskill Resort hotels for many years. She earned a B.A. in education from Queens College. Carol is married with two children and has one grandson.
Ina Horn joined the teaching staff of the Jewish Community Center of North and South Brunswick Nursery School at Congregation B'Nai Tikvah in 1992. Currently, she holds the position of Head Teacher, and teaches the Pre-Kindergarten class, as well as Imagination Station and Story Network Enrichment classes. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from Kean University. Ina has been a member of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick since 1984 and currently serves on the temple's Board of Trustees.
Ina is a Life Member of National Council of Jewish Women where she has been a member since 1985. In the past she has served on the NCJW Middlesex County Section's executive board as Vice President of Fundraising, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Community Service, and Financial Secretary. Ina resides in North Brunswick with her husband, Gerry. Together, they have four children, Dana, Josh, Justin and Merin.
Maria Lesko has worked in the Nursery school since 1988 in various capacities. Using her creativity, Maria has been a head teacher in Art Enrichment, she does Early and Late Stay, and as an assistant teacher in Pre-K and Enrichment. Maria lives in North Brunswick with her husband and has two children.
Marilyn Cohen is an Orff certified teacher who joined our staff in February 2011. She is a Hebrew Music Specialist as well as an early childhood music teacher. She has taught in Hebrew day schools as well as synagogue based schools both early childhood programs and supplemental programs. Mrs. Cohen has been teaching the children of the B'nai Tikvah Religious School since the beginning of the school year. She has a broad repertoire of music, both secular and non-secular. The main objective in her music class is for the children have FUN while learning. Mrs. Cohen uses several different media so that the children can have the ultimate musical experience. She is the mother of 2 and grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren.
Tracy Seiden transitioned in 2010 from being the parent of two B'nai Tikvah Nursery School graduates, to joining the teaching staff as an assistant teacher in the Pre-K class. She holds a Master of Science in Education degree in English as a Second Language (ESL) from Fordham University. Tracy lives in North Brunswick with her husband, Adam, and two children.
Jennifer Pollack is new to our school this year. She is a teacher's assistant in the two year old class on Mondays, as well as late stay on Mondays through Thursdays. Mrs. "P" has previously worked as an assistant at East Brunswick Jewish Center for the past three years with two, three, and four year olds. In addition, she has worked with kindergarten and first graders in after care at the Greater New Brunswick Charter School in New Brunswick. Mrs. "P" resides in East Brunswick where she has raised her four children, all affiliated with Temple B'nai Shalom in East Brunswick.
Mindy Strauber has been working with young children since 2002. In addition to working in regular classes, she has also run enrichment programs. Mindy loves teaching and playing with the kids and watching them grow throughout the year. Mrs. Strauber will be assisting in the 3 year old class Mondays through Fridays. Mindy lives in Monroe NJ with her husband and two children.
Judith Meghnagi has been working with children of all ages for many years. She started off as a teacher for first and second graders. Mrs. Meghnagi then taught the three year old class here at the JCC in 2004-2005. All three of her children went to school here. During the past seven summers, she has run a nature and science summer program at Mill Road Day Camp. We welcome her return. Mrs. Meghnagi will be teaching the 2 and a half year olds this year.
