Shomrei Tikvah (The Guardians of Hope) is a capital fund that is used to preserve and embellish the operation of our buildings and grounds. The funds raised through Shomrei Tikvah provide a financial cushion to repair and maintain our buildings, especially as they are aging.

Past fundraising activities sponsored by Shomrei Tikvah include the Torah Restoration; a reception and studio tour hosted by the late sculptor, George Segal, and his wife Helen; an exhibit of sculptor Leon Bibel’s oversized Spice Boxes; artist-in-residence Beth Heit; guest speakers U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg and Dith Pran; and an auction of a Leon Bibel dreidel.

Membership in Shomrei Tikvah requires a minimum $1,000 contribution beyond current Synagogue obligations. Activities of Shomrei Tikvah are open to non-members for a nominal fee.
